:: Bali – stands for M&M ::

~ August 2010

All along Bali means only M&M aka manta rays & mola mola to me.
But there are more things to see, stuff to do than just diving.

Kuta disappoints me big time. Beach not that great, almost dirty and packed with tourists (mostly Aussies I hear).

Luckily we stayed in Seminyak, nice quiet stretch. Pretty beach.
Of coz you can't miss the restaurants, drinking holes along the way to Kuta-Legion

i ain't paparazzi k (:

YOu will Simply love Ubud.

Go watch Eat.Pray.Love. Just like in the movie, totally laid-back.

We had a local guide who brought us to see the mountains, coffee beansplantations, and did about 3hrs cycling along the villages, padi fields, completed with a feast at the guide’s home.

It was awesome.

Mount Agung - highest mountain in Bali. NOt an easy trek I heard.

Mount Batur. WP & WZ trekked while we went diving. Very nice view

Roasting coffee beans

Cheers! with kopi

Home-cooked local dishes. Best!

Warung Ibu Oka – the famous warung in Ubud selling babi guling aka suckling pigs
Managed to try it only on our 2nd visit.
Amazing crowd with locals & tourists

Checkout the crispy crackling skin. That's what we are here for.

Biku – a quaint café near our resort.
As you know, I am quite a sucker for 3-tier afternoon tea treat, with cappu. And all-day breakfast sets – Egg Benedict.
Yummy..

The dives were truly cold. My dive comp hit 22deg I think.

Currents were strong when we headed out. I had to puke before I could get my lunch in.
Hovering in the deep blue, swaying in the surge current, waiting for M&M to appear.
Still we missed the mola. Caught the manta though.
I very much want to see them, but I don’t know if I can jump into the shocking cold water again. 2 wetsuits + hood didn’t really helped.

Will i come back again.. i'm not sure

^.^
