:: Table 66 ::

66 Tras St

My first time participation during the dining week.
SGD 25++ for set lunch
I have originally made reservations at 3 restaurants, but alas due to some unforeseen circumstance, I could only attended this one.

We were seated at the hallway into the main dining area. Was not entirely thrilled as it was very distracting with the guests walking about, especially they had a very distinguised guest visiting that day.
Very attentive staff, who kept checking if the pot of warm water required top-up. Prompt serving of dishes too.

Onion bread first served was warm and flavorful.

For starter, we chose Tuna Ala Nicoise - seared tuna was done nicely and with the white sesame dressing was a good light starter to the main course.

Both of us rarely fancied lamb, but the lamb shank served was wonderfully fall-off tender. Well braised, yet not overly salty in an attempt to musk the lamb-smell.
We were quite apprehensive about ordering lamb initially. A huge portion too

Coffee cake paired with blueberries (?). I love the rice-crisp bottom, and coffee-laden sponge layer inbetween. Great contrast on the palate when mixed with the berries.

Lovely lunch affair.
